Once a year, Temple Beth Hillel holds a General Membership meeting. Last week, at that meeting reports were given by all active committees, and by the President. If you are interested in seeing any of those reports, please contact me.
People who go above and beyond in service to the Temple were honored: Andre Moscowitz and Michelle Waxman -who are stepping down after their terms of office on the Board; Penny Norman for her hard work and generosity providing educational toys for distribution with Food For Thought; and Volunteer of the Year Anna Stein for doing, well, everything!! Thank you all!!
The other agenda items at the meeting are voting on the budget for the upcoming fiscal year (it passed – again, if you wish to see it please contact me or the Temple Office), and election of the new Board. We wish the best to our departing members and welcome new Board Members Mel Feder, Linda Rose and Judy Windrix.
By far the most emotional part of the meeting was beginning the process of saying goodbye to Mazel Tots teacher Jennifer Jones-Horton and Cantor Fran Burgess.
Please come to the next two Kabbalat Shabbat services and enjoy the time we all have together. We do know of course that we will stay in touch.
