From the President – February 17, 2021

This update illustrates just how resilient and creative we are in the midst of this pandemic.  We have Shabbat services tonight and lay led Torah study tomorrow and religious school on Sunday.  In addition, even though we cannot have our Purim Carnival, we are celebrating Purim online with music and the Purim story and our first Purim Spiel in many years (See calendar for more information and free reservations).  Then, on March 7, we are having our first of what we hope will be many TBH movie nights (see calendar for more information).  Our forced kind of solitary existence has certainly challenged us, but has in many ways brought out the best in us.  Many of us have contributed our talents, skills and knowledge to adapt to our current circumstances.  A scroll through this update illustrates how dedicated we are to maintaining and even strengthening our community.  Let’s be sure to remember what we are learning when we transition back to more normal lives.

We are Temple Beth Hillel.

If I am not for myself, who will be for me?

If I am not for others, what am I?

And if not now, when?   -Rabbi Hillel
