And Shanah Tova! Next week we will begin our tradition of High Holy Day observances and celebrations. For the next month, we will celebrate the new year, observe the Day of Atonement, put up a Sukkah, and roll the Torah back to its starting place. At this joyous yet solemn time of year, it is a great time to reflect on one of the key themes of all these holidays: renewal. Starting next week, our congregation at Temple Beth Hillel, along with communities all over the world, will welcome in the new year with Rosh Hashana services. A new year brings new opportunities, new adventures, new challenges, and new commitments. We all know we will face both highs and lows this upcoming year but Rosh Hashana allows us to re-center ourselves, reflect on all we have accomplished and endured in the past year, and consider all that we will experience in the coming year. The best part, of course, is that we will not face these experiences alone. Our families, fellow congregants, and friends will all be there with us as we make that journey.
For those who wish to attend our High Holy Day services, please fill out the registration forms and return them to Brandy in the Temple office. Torah Study on Zoom takes place every Saturday at 10:15 AM. We would also like to invite all our families to the first Family Shabbat service on Saturday, September 28, beginning at 5:00 p.m., right before the Selichot service. And finally, our next Shabbat Service, hosted by Rabbi Dean and Cantor Marney will take place on Friday, October 4, at 7:30 PM,
Thank you everyone!

If I am not for others, what am I?
And if not now, when? -Rabbi Hillel
