This past Yom Kippur morning we just read about a key moment in the history of the Jewish people. The Israelites are assembled and about to enter the Promised Land; Moses addresses everyone, saying “choose life that you and your descendants might live”. CHOOSE LIFE collectively, meaning as a community. Thankfully we did make that choice, and the long story of the Jewish people continued. Part of that story is in our
Torah, and that story keeps evolving around the world and in every generation.
Some of you reading this are new to the congregation. Maybe you were a guest at the recent High Holy Day services or your children participated in our Religious School. You are welcome to become more involved, and to help write a new chapter in the history of the Jewish people, and the story of Temple Beth Hillel.
