Think camp is out of reach? Think again! Jewish Community Federation offers One Happy Camper incentives that provides need-blind grants of up to $1,000 to families with children attending nonprofit, mission-driven Jewish overnight camp for the first time. Additional funds are available for children of Israeli parents and from camps themselves. Learn more.

JCC East Bay offers a variety of week-long traditional and specialty day camps in Berkeley.  Financial aid is available.  Learn more

Temple Beth Hillel’s Stone Nusbaum Scholarship fund can provide funds for students attending Jewish programs, including summer camps and Israel trips.  The Nusbaum B’nai Mitzvah Fund can help those who need financial assistance for a bar/bat mitzvah.Contact Laura Taub

Birthright Israel offers free trips to Israel for young adults ages 18-26. There is a wide variety of themes, emphases, trip operators and cohorts, including Bay Area and campus trips. Apply early to get the trip you want. See https://www.birthrightisrael.com/

Scholarship information at Hillel’s Scholarships Portal allows you to search over 600 scholarships for Jewish students.

Studying in Israel? You may be eligible for a Scholarship. Are you an East Bay resident who is 21+ and studying Jewish texts in Israel next year? If yes, you may be eligible for a $2,000 scholarship from the Federation’s Derek Elias Israel Memorial Scholarship Fund for Young Adult Study in Israel. Learn more.

Teen Fellowships

A program of Wilderness Torah, Shomrim is an immersive yearlong cohort. Teens spend valuable time outdoors, gaining life skills, building community, fostering lasting friendships with peers, and learning important Jewish values that will guide them through life. Apply here.

Einayich Yonim is an 18-month experience for high school sophomores and juniors with a strong interest in Jewish spirituality, concern for the environment, a background in Jewish learning, and a commitment to growth. Learn more here.
